This publication expands on some of the conversations and ideas sparked by the two-year programme, ENTWINED: Rural. Land. Lives. Art., organized by VARC (Visual Arts in Rural Communities). In artist residencies and other events, ENTWINED explored different aspects of what makes a ‘place’ and sought to reveal the interconnectedness of rural land and rural lives.
