The exhibition Ingrid Pollard: Carbon Slowly Turning is on view until May 29, 2022, at the MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, UK. A survey of Pollard’s 40-year career, the show includes older “hand-tinted” landscape photographs alongside new works such as a filmic mediation on the human body in space and time, and “a triptych of monumental, dynamic sculptures that reference our shared history of power relations and resurgence”. As “one of the leading figures in contemporary British art”, she is known for her prolific photographic practice that questions human-nature relationships and interrogates the constructs of “Britishness, race, sexuality and identity”.
